FAQ

WHAT IS A VOLUNTARY CLOTHING CERTIFICATION?

Effective design and fashionable cut are essential in any garment but the quality of the production of materials can be difficult to assess at first glance. For sportswear, ergonomic and performance properties are of particular importance. During strenuous physical activity, a tracksuit, T-shirt or tank top should allow skin to breathe, help regulate body temperature and drain moisture through the fabric. The style of sportswear is subordinated not only to the requirements of fashion, but also to comfort, ensuring freedom of movement. In other words, the quality of sportswear is extremely important for both a professional athlete and for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. In order to help the buyer make a choice in favour of clothes of really high quality, there is a voluntary certification as a guarantee of the manufacturer's reputation.

In Russia, clothing for children under three years old and some other categories of clothing, including overalls, are subject to mandatory certification. For sportswear, the manufacturer's declaration of conformity is sufficient. However, in the conditions of the dominance of counterfeit and low-quality products, it is not easy for the consumer to find high-quality and safe clothing. That is why a conscientious manufacturer seeks to prove the quality of his product using a voluntary certification system as a kind of competitive advantage. A voluntary certificate is issued by an independent body on the basis of an expert examination and fully confirms compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents. Thus, a voluntary certificate is a proof of the manufacturer's honesty, the reliability of his product, the safety of the materials used and the technologies used.

WHAT IS JACQUARD?

Jacquard is called a smooth fabric with a relief pattern or ornament. Pattern on the fabric obtained by a special interweaving of matte and shiny threads, as well as threads of different shades.
The technology of jacquard weaving is traditionally used for upholstery fabrics, curtains, table and bed linen. Recently, jacquard has become a popular material for
clothing. Modern equipment makes it possible to produce jacquard with a texture of high
complexity in many colours. For example, it may be an intricate geometric or floral ornament.

Due to the complexity of weaving, jacquard is considered a fairly expensive fabric, which also affects the cost of the product itself. Jacquard clothing not only looks spectacular, but also
pleasant to the touch. In addition, it is strong and durable if one complies with the simple care instructions. Jacquard should be ironed on the outside to avoid any damage to the embossed pattern. It is recommended to wash by hand or in a gentle mode machine wash at 30⁰C.
